Our office exclusively accepts Motions to Terminate Removal Proceedings.

A Motion to Terminate is a legal request asking the immigration court to dismiss or end removal (deportation) proceedings against a non-citizen. This motion is typically filed when the government lacks sufficient legal grounds to continue deportation proceedings or when the individual is eligible for immigration relief outside of court.

If you are eligible for a green card, asylum, or other relief through USCIS instead of the immigration judge we may be able to assist you in your motion to terminate your process with the immigration court (EOIR).

Why requesting a termination:

1. To Avoid Risks of Removal, terminating proceedings may be a safer option while pursuing other legal options outside of the court.

2. Pursuing immigration remedies through a collaborative and non-adversarial approach.

Who Can File a Motion to Terminate?

1. Individuals in removal proceedings before an immigration judge.

2. Non-citizens with a legal defense against removal and non or limited criminal history

3. Those with pending USCIS applications for relief (adjustment of status, U visa, etc.) or

4. Individuals eligible for Immigration Relief with USCIS
